Broken Star Fund
The Broken Star Fund was incorporated in 1984 as a 501c4 Tax Exempt Organization. (Not Tax Deductible). It is for the general welfare and benefit of the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office employees and family members.
The Broken Star Fund provides limited financial assistance and support to PBSO employees experiencing unforeseen emergency situations, catastrophic illness or loss; an annual college scholarship program for children of PBSO families actively contributing to the Broken Star Fund, and to contributes excess funds to certain local charitable organizations providing services or assistance to PBSO employees as citizens of Palm Beach County.
Broken Star is funded by direct employee contributions, contributions from concerned citizens or organizations, and with proceeds from annual fundraising activities supported by the Board and members of the fund.
